RE_EDITING

A lot of brands have been doing reeditions of iconic pieces and revisiting collections. If we think about Dolce & Gabbana that have reedited their corset; Versace and Ralph lauren are also returning to their roots and making updated versions of their best collections. YSL with it's Edition 24 have reedited their iconic pieces, like the safari jacket or the smoking. These reeditions and revisits of the collections reflect also the "fashion moment" we live in, where with the overload of collections, brands and also the recession, the customers started not to recognize the brands. So some of the brands started to redifine their strategy, starting to returning to their roots so that the customers could recognize the brand's identity and feel more nearby them.
Prada is reediting prints from the past seasons with a collection called "Print Collection", on the second half of May there will be available dresses, bags and shoes with the maison most iconic prints.
London's designer emporium - Browns is celebrating is 4oth Anniversary with a reissued of signature pieces called "Future Colectables". The most iconic pieces selled by the leading boutique are now available.
Stella McCartney jacket; Louboutin shoes; Dries van Noten blouse; Phillip Lim leather jacket; Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. Loewe, the spanish leather goods brand is launching a permanent collection called "Leather Icons", made with their most iconic type of leather. The economic situation resulted also that people started to spend in pieces that can last more than one season, pieces with more quality. "Less is More" Mies van der Rohe
